Services are delivered one‑on‑one via Zoom to ensure instruction is targeted, efficient, and responsive to each child’s needs.
Instruction for younger learners may look different from instruction for older students.
For early readers, sessions may focus more on oral language, sound awareness, and building the foundations needed for reading. For older students, instruction may place greater emphasis on decoding, spelling, reading accuracy, and fluency. In all cases, instruction is carefully matched to the skills that will have the greatest impact on reading progress.

Literacy Skills Assessment & Written Summary
The Literacy Skills Assessment is an individualized, online evaluation designed to identify the specific reading skills that may be making reading challenging for your child. Rather than testing broadly or unnecessarily, the assessment focuses on understanding which skills are getting in the way, so the next steps are clear and targeted.
Assessments are completed one‑on‑one via Zoom and are designed to be efficient, child‑friendly, and respectful of attention and stamina. Time with the student typically ranges from 15–30 minutes, depending on the child and the information needed. The assessment concludes once clear patterns are observed.
Depending on your child’s age and needs, the assessment may examine:
•phonics and sound awareness
•word reading and decoding skills
•spelling and word‑reading patterns
•reading fluency and automaticity
Not every child completes every task.
Following the assessment, families receive a written summary outlining observed strengths, areas of need, and recommended next steps. This report is yours to keep and may be used whether or not you choose to continue services.
